Tips on Navigating in the Client

Roster Search

1. Use the F key in Roster view to find a user. Start typing in name of the person you wish to find. The display will show the users who match the string entered.

Roster Navigation

1. T and B Keys will move you to top and bottom of roster screen respectively
2. N and P will move you to Next and Previous Groups in Roster display
3. SPACE key will page through Roster one page at a time
4. Status Bar: A status bar at the bottom of the screen shows more details of selected Contact or Chat Room
5. The letter O key will toggle Show Offline/Online Users
6. ALT and +/- key will collapse and expand all groups in roster

Starting a Conversation

1. Hit the R key or the ENTER key on any selected Contact or Chat Room and a conversation window will automatically open. You can also do this from the Menu items

Setting your Status

Use the S key to get quick access to your Status. Use the X key to set your status to Do Not Disturb.


Roster Organization: The Vayusphere client provides the following features to assist in mobile use
1. Active Conversations are shown as the first group on top of the roster. The time for which an idle conversation appears in this slot can be changed in Preference Settings.
2. If you have a group called Mobile on your desktop client, this group will be shown next. This allows you to list people are you are particularly interested in communicating with when you are mobile.
3. If you have chat rooms bookmarked using your desktop client, they will be shown next under "Subscriptions to Conference Server"
4. In Preferences, you can chose to display Online users only
5. Each group can be "Collapsed" to save real-estate on screen
